MEET CASSANDRA

Hi, I’m Cassandra - the owner and lead designer of Event Prep. Luckily for me, I knew from an early age where my passions were. When I wasn’t taking an art class or feeding my need through a creative outlet, I was color coding to-do lists and planning the next theme party for my friends. Although those closest to me could see me pursuing a career in fashion, my love of the midwest and all of it’s charm kept me in Ohio where I could blend a few of my loves into producing stylish & memorable experiences through special events. 

After a decade in the industry and planning over a hundred events in five different states, the love I have for the wedding industry is stronger than ever. We live in a beautiful, but non-stop, world and it’s never lost on me the power that bringing people together around a dinner table, (or dance floor!,) can have on them to stop, breathe - and enjoy the moment they’re in. Whether it’s an event for two hundred guests or an intimate holiday gathering at my own dinner table, I love creating magic in those everyday moments and creating an experience that allows guests to temporarily forget everything else in their life and instead enjoy the goodness around them in that moment. Those are the memories that you, your family and friends will remember for a lifetime.

I’m just as comfortable painting a custom backdrop for my clients as I am figuring out the complicated puzzle pieces of a wedding weekend timeline, and find myself immensely grateful to have the opportunity to serve the clients and families that I do.  

And although I thrive in a fast paced working environment, I enjoy my down-time at home with my husband, Ryan, where our favorite date night includes enjoying a new-to-us red wine and watching a movie together. We’re the proud parents of two Goldendoodles, our sweet Dolly Mae and our spunky boy, Brody. When it comes to my down time, you can either spot me taking a weekly shopping trip to Home Goods, baking a new recipe, or lounging on our patio reading whatever latest suspense book was included on Reese Witherspoon’s book club list.
