Celebrating our anniversary with a feature on POPSUGAR

Hi friends!

I don’t know about you but it’s been such a busy July for me already as we’re in the middle of wedding season. I was lucky enough to have a weekend away at the end of June to take a trip to Louisville, Kentucky with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary.  We were wed on the Fourth of July in downtown Columbus on a beautiful Saturday afternoon back in 2015. Prior to this years holiday weekend our amazing wedding photographer, Robb McCormick, sent me a message that our wedding would be featured on POPSUGAR. I assumed it would be one or two photos included in some sort of “10 Ideas to Include Americana Details Into Your Wedding” or something along those lines. Believe me, I was SO surprised when the article went live and it was exclusively about our wedding. I LOVE re-living all of those memories, looking back at the photos and reminiscing on the family and loved ones we shared the day with, and realizing how much I love and cherish the journey my husband and I are on together.

Cassandra and Ryan celebrated their big day on the Fourth of July at the Large Theatre in Ohio’s historic Columbus Athenaueum. Even though the two tied the knot on Independence Day, the holiday theme didn’t overwhelm their wedding. Aside from American flag socks for the groomsmen and a giant flag photo backdrop, the reception featured pink flamingos and other colorful elements. The bride and groom even got their own wedding cakes to reflect their styles.” Nicole Yi
